How I can Always Tell When I was on the O'Reilly Factor

I don't ask my friends when Bill O'Reilly talks about me. Most of my friends don't watch Bill's show, and have little respect for him. But even as I continue to ignore this little man like an angry 4 year old, he continues to put his little disciples on the job. I give it up to Bill, he's got his cyborgs in check. When he says "Get that negro!" His followers get right on the job. Perhaps my actions have qualified me for the "lynching party" he wanted to put on Michelle Obama. Such a comment clearly implies that Bill O'Reilly hates our great nation. Discussion of lynching the possible first lady, putting her in a concentration camp or any other kind of crazy hate speech has no place in our country.

The chart above shows the spike in traffic to my homepage that occurred on an otherwise boring Friday night on Memorial Day Weekend. My personal webpage usually has about 1,000 visitors a day, and YourBlackWorld has another 6,000 or so. But I can always tell when Bill O'Reilly was screaming my name.

Along with a slew of interesting emails, I also received a nice phone call from someone who called me a "fat monkey nigger", or some other entertaining descriptor. Yes, I have been gaining weight, so maybe he has a point...except for the monkey nigger part. I would prefer to be described as a "fat, hunky sex machine".

I hope he doesn't have some kind of fatal attraction toward me, since I don't roll like that. Either way, I've rarely seen Bill O'Reilly, nor anyone else so obsessed with someone who doesn't even return his phone calls. But then again, I guess intelligent black men have that effect on racists like Bill O'Reilly. I am an honest believer that educated black men are Bill O'Reilly's worst nightmare, which is why he has gone so hard after Barack Obama.

Keep screaming Bill....you and I both know what's going on.

I'VE LISTENED TO YOU AND YOUR RACIST POISON YOU VOMIT FROM YOUR MOUTH. ALL I CAN SAY IS "YOU ARE ONE OF THE MANY REASONS, FOR THE BLACK STRUGGLE".

I'm sorry you had to receive that call. I'd been thinking about how you have to deal with all the hate. I guess you become accustomed to it (having lived your life in America) although it must be painful at times with all that ignorance out there. One thing is for sure; O'Reilly wouldn't be on your case if you weren't exposing the truth and making a difference. I think you're absolutely right: educated black men are his worst nightmare -they simply don't fit in his false little, white supremacist world.

You're absolutely doing something right Dr. B, O'Reilly is such a blowhard that he can't stand being challenged. I will make sure to tell everyone I know to contact those FoxNews sponsors about this hate-monger.

To anonymous at 9.am - You're entitled to your view but I think you're the one suffereing from some kind of delusion. I don't have a blog and Dr Watkins is far from being ignorant or mentally ill (how can you even think that?) In fact I've never heard him utter a word that is racist or hate-filled. If that was his angle, I certainly wouldn't be on here. A lot of white people (and you may be one of them) find it very difficult and uncomfortable to be confronted by black people that are more intelligent than themselves. They also feel threatened at the prospect of having to re-think the values they've been conditioned to accept throughout their lives and would much rather believe what they see on Fox and wallow in the smug assuredness that such 'news' channels promote. Dr Watkins isn't blaming all white Americans for the vast innequality in the lives and opportunities in America. He is simply standing up for what is right and fair and just. He isn't your enemy. If you have an enemy it's your ignorance of history, your avoidance of the truth, and on a larger scale, the institutionalized and systematic distortion of the facts that are the cause of your lack of understanding.

I love everyone, the only thing I hate is when a group of people, be it because of common interests, sexual lifestyle, or color of skin, get together as a group that looks at themselves as "us", and looks at all others as "them", and thus propel the separation and division between both races, classes, and those who chose to live in a different way than the "us's". Written by a very ignorant man, at least to "those".

Anonymous, You sound sexually frustrated. This is not an insult, it just sounds like it. Also. I agree that O'reilly and his dummies are insucure when intelligent black men/Women speak especially when they challenge him, otherwise what the hell has he been going on about for months. I predict he will have a strokre because of his hatred.

Previous comment at 4.36. I entirely agree with your sentiment but if you are suggesting Dr Watkins or this website is on the path you describe you are wrong. His quest (and I hope he would correct me if I've misunderstood) is first and foremost to educate others, to highlight and expose discrimination and injustice. From what I've read he has a rare gift and is a fantastic communicator. He will hold to account anyone or any institution - black or white who he believes is acting unfairly or impeding the progress or opportunities of others. What I personally love is his ability to do this without malice - he tells things as they are but not with hatred or bitterness. Just plain, simple, truths - and sometimes with a little humour. And I don't feel he does any of this in a self-serving way. I hope I've not been preaching to the converted - or that I've misinterpreted Boyce and his work.

I bet Bill O'Reilly would love to have a "strokre". I am so frustrated for I need one too!

Dr. Watkins keep telling it like it is. The one thing that "they" hate is truth, especially when it causes "them" some discomfort. You are the man.

Dr Watkins,

Bill O'LIEly is scared of any black man that has a education, a black man that utilizes his right of free speech, a black man that is a leader and not a follower, A black Man that can challenge him and his position.

Bill-O's entire carrer is based on degrading and devaluing every black person and black institute he can get a hold of. When is the last time you heard O'LIEly talk positively about the Black culture? What he does is pick the bad apples from the black society and portray every black person as being in that same negative mold. Hell, Bill even tries to degrade every educated black person he has on his show and NO, Juan Williams doesn't count.

This madness must come to an end. It is time for this character to be challenged. Dr. Watkins you have the knowledge, experience, and credentials to lead this movement. I am ready!

As a famous racial theorist, Tim Wise, once put it, "White racism in America is like the lense of an eye: the more you expose it to light, the more it closes up."

Keep exposing the light and dealing with the racist poison that plagues our country. As a Syracuse alumni, I applaud your efforts. It's too bad that the campus itself is so full of bigotry that people see you as a problem, rather than a solution. But they did the same thing to other black men like yourself in the past.

Keep your head up, we've got an army of 500,000 African Americans at your back. You and Barack are two of the greatest leaders of our generation.

Anonymous at 8.25 - For the last time;
You can disagree with someone without hating them;
you can attack their outragous behavour without hating them;
you can stand up for your rights and the rights of others without hating those who are denying them;
You can oppose a system that is unfair without hating those who are running the system. This is what Dr Watkins is doing. It's clear you feel defensive because you're not accustomed to having to question yourselves and you obviously think you have some kind of right to keep black people 'in their place' but believe me, those days are going to end. The time has come and it's long overdue that America faces up to its racist ways. Dr Watkins does not spew hatred - he simply holds those to account who deserve to be held to account. The Fox-inspired thugs who are threatening his life are the ones who spew hatred. Why aren't you concerned about them? Get real and grow up!

Anonymous said...

Last commenter, do you really, honestly, think Fox News was threatening his life? Lets get back to reality, I mean, at least be fair and balanced, for thinking that way is unfair, and definitely UNBALANCED!

Elrancho78 said...

I did not say Fox News was threatening his life. If you read what I said you will see I used the term 'Fox-inspired thugs'. Do you understand the word 'inspired'?

in·spired (n-sprd)

Of such surpassing brilliance or excellence as to suggest divine inspiration: an inspired musician; an inspired performance.

I'm so glad you can read and have access to a dictionary (and not one of those less educated biggots who infest this site with their ignorance and hate.
