I was also stricken and saddened by Dr. Marable's death. I've posted an interview of him by Dr. Dyson May, 2010. He described him as a former mentor and friend. It would have been wonderful and enlightening to have had some input from this illustrious scholar regarding the responses to his book on Malcolm X upon release tomorrow.

The saving grace is that you and the other public scholars and intellectuals will maintain the integrity of his work as the pundits and naysayers do what they do best!
