Who gives a shit? What is it with you brothers in academia, Eric Dyson comes to mind, who keep hopping on the rap bandwagon? You never see PhDs from HBCUs getting involved in this crap. Just sambos from lily-white colleges.

Damn Dr. Boyce! At 2:39 seconds into the piece you called nas and kelis a discount version of beyonce and jay-z. Why all the crabbing?

Not sure why you guys hate hip hop so much. It is one of the most respected cultural art forms in the world.

"Why all the crabbing"?

Isn't that what our Black Ivy-League academics do best?!

This is a shameful move on Dr. B's part--capitalizing on the failure of a Black couple. What a shame...

B.S. Its a stereotyped art form that is making a lot of white people rich.

Excellent commentary on Nas and Kelis. Hip hop needs more intelligent viewpoints to analyze the quality and short comings of the genre.

So how is gossiping about a couple getting divorced helping us to analyze quality and short comings of the genre? You sound like Boyce ghost posting.

Why would this be classified as gossip? Has the HAM ever said anything positive on this blog?

Nas and Kelis were doomed from the start. Their whole relationship was a big PR stunt.

I think that the HAM is the same guy who stalked boyce on blackprof. He seemed like a disgruntled white boy, maybe in the klan or something. He's amazing, because he doesn't seem to have a job. He just blogs all day on black websites apparently. Creepy.

And I think that these people calling other folks HAM also must have no day job.
