Last week, some of you may be aware of the initiative we put in place at YourBlackWorld to confront Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity and the rest of the Axis of Ignorance about the way they have misrepresented the news and damaged the reputation of one black leader after another.
Well, I guess my own chickens have come home to roost.
One of the readers on Your Black World sent me an email stating that Bill O'Reilly mentioned today that he "took a trip to Syracuse to deal with some concerns he has about a professor up there."
I guess that professor might be me.
They have a saying in China that "the fattest pig always gets slaughtered", and I accept the fact that my university is not going to be happy with my confrontation of Bill O'Reilly. Many of their wealthy alums who give money to the university are part of the Bill O'Reilly Zombie Fest, and support this man as he perpetuates the ugliest aspects of our country's history.
But the truth is the truth. I WILL NOT and CANNOT allow him, nor anyone else, to continue telling lies that distort reality and hurt our country. They are incredibly unpatriotic, and their continued dirty tactics and tricky smears on Senator Obama, Pastor Jeremiah Wright and others will not be tolerated.
Fortunately, the black community is behind me on this one. When I sent a call out to our readers on YourBlackWorld, I received hundreds of emails within one day. Additionally, our readers have sent hundreds of letters to the FCC, and we are also in position to hold two of Fox's top corporate sponsors accountable for their behavior.
The fact is that Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity and Fox News do not represent American values. Also, most of the major networks will allow this racist hate to hit the airwaves, yet they do not have a single host of color representing viewpoints of the silent majority.
This is wrong, it's unAmerican and it must stop TODAY.
Bill O'Reilly, do what you must. Deep down, you know you are wrong.

Excuse me sir - from my perspective as a Black man who promotes THE BLACK COMMUNITY over the BLACK LEADERSHIP who keeps making promises to "progress" our community....these BLACK LEADERS that you are most inclined to support are DAMAGING the Black community and thus NEED TO BE QUESTIONED.
Is it possible that while you like "speaking truth to power" you just don't like being QUESTIONED?
Why not just come on the O'Reilly Factor and represent the "viewpoints of the silent majority" yourself if Juan Williams amd Dr. Marc Lamont Hill aren't doing it justice?

I watch all of the news channels and find it funny that you call out the most straight forward and honest network which is fox news. You don't want truth; you want submission to your causes. You’re done DUDE!!!
It appears only people with an alternative motive see Fox as fair and balanced. The network is very degrading to African-Americans. I also can not get over how O'Reilly considers himself the overall authority of racism. How can a person who has never been the recepient of true racism attempt to point out racism to others?

If O'Liely put a camera in your face mention his sex scandal and Hannity pal Hal Turner. Make sure you have a camera to broadcast it to friendly people(like Olbermann). Hell go on Obermann .
Dr. watkins, I can not believe that hate and contempt. Whether you are speaking the truth as you know, why all the hate? Sorry, I just can not watch or listen to the Axis of Evil,so I missed O'Rielly.This country will not heal and can not move forward because one can not deal with our hateful,racist past and present.It is the hypocisy of our government,that makes other countries resent us. We try to tell others how to treat their citizens and we have such a horrible unacknowledged past and present. O'Reilly and his gang always make money off the misery of others. I try to watch them without laughing because much of what they say is sheer lunacy.

I am tired of the racism that runs rampant through this country. It needs to be put to a stop, and you have set the wheels in motion. I have watched several clips on 'youtube' with you, and I have yet to hear something I completely disagree with. The "Axis of Ignorance", as it is so correctly named, needs to be brought down. If there is ANYTHING I can do directly to aid in that mission, I will gladly do it.
Keep fighting the good fight. It's good to see someone taking a stand and rallying others for a noble purpose.

I remember the first time i saw foxnews on my tv here in the UK i could not believe what i was hearing,the lies,the one sided stories and yes the blantant racism and they have even gone as far as outsourcing their racism,they get people like that devil looking Jesses Peterson and Jaun Williams to do their dirty work and i cannot believe that Michelle Malkin.This was the first time i was exposed to such people and i had to tell others to watch so that i am not the only one witnessing this evil.Life must be hell for you people over there and after Katrina and the way that network pesented it to the world was inhumane and distturbing to watch.I kept on watching and the more i watched the more disgusted i became and after a while it felt like i was watching illegal porn of the worst kind.My husband refuse to watch it and he gets very upset with me for watching.What you people need to understand, racist are just like school yard bullys who feel inferior to the people they are bulling,they pick on people they percieve as weak and they tend to hunt in a gang because they are the real weaklings immaging getting o'reilly or hannity on their own, they would cry and shit themselves like a baby.

And what will be the consequences of not awakening this sleeping giant? It's obvious and has been for a long time that in America nothing will ever change for the better without a fight. Unfortunately, and generally speaking, the white man (of which I am one) somehow lacks the insight to realize you can't commit crime after crime against a group of people for ever more. It's got to end. They tried in South Africa (and most of the world, come to that) but thank God, against all the odds, truth and justice overcame ignorance and evil. I believe the white male is basically fearful. Deep down he knows he is wrong and he knows he is in many ways not the superior creature he wants to believe he is. I can accept that. As a human being I can accept that I will never be the best at everything I do and that others may be far more talented than I. But that doesn't mean I want to hold people down to keep me on top - on the contrary, I want to see other people excel. The truth is that everyone's lives would improve - the entire nation would be better off, happier and more secure if there was less hatred and more justice. I believe in Dr Boyce and totally support him in the battle he has to fight.
Thank you Jacob! I'd been trying to work out what's with this guy and glad someone else shares my bemusement. Whoever he is he's scared and incapable of logical thought. I've given him too much of my time already and won't be replying to anymore of his comments. With some people there's just no point.
I know Dr Watkins personally and had him in a class. He is a WONDERFUL person. He mentors the students at Syracuse, many of them who don't feel that the faculty gives a crap about them. There are few black professors and many of them don't take the time for the students. So, for this famous guy to take all the time out for students the way he does, that shows he has a really good heart. Syracuse should be happy to have him, but some of the white students give him a hard time. That is probably who comes on this blog, just people trying to harrass him instead of understand what he's trying to say. Alot of people agree with what he says.
